College of Engineering and Technology-Payyanur was established in the year 2011-2012 to fulfill a long felt public need and dream for an excellent engineering college in North Malabar. The college is managed by National Educational and Charitable Foundation-Payyanur founded by a group of likeminded socially active persons with proven track record of excellence. Pursuing excellence in technical education, the CET-Payyanur strives for transforming youngsters in to technological entrepreneur and innovative leaders of tomorrow. The CET-Payyanur is working hard to provide value based technical education to rural based students and to open the door of high quality education to the students of North Malabar.

The College of Engineering and Technology, Payyanur has succeeded continuing success in working the cause of engineering education in Kerala. I am privileged to work with a dedicated team of faculty and staff members of high morale. I feel proud to provide quality education by equipping our students with skills, confidence and a positive approach with all round development. The college is relentlessly striving to perceive and maintain academic excellence at the same time encourages the students to participate in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. A serene environment at CETP nurtures creativity, passion, resilience and leadership qualities among students for development of versatile personality. As Principal of the institute I am closely in touch with the progress made by the students who join in this institution. Dr. T. ASHOK KUMAR
Dr. T. Ashok kumar obtained his B.Sc, Mathematics from Madras University. He finished his B.E Mechanical and Production Engineering from Annamalai University. He finished his M.E from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University. He has completed his Ph.D from Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University (Chromepet Campus) on ‘Nanomaterials’. Furthermore, he completed his M.A Public Administration from Madurai Kamaraj University. He has also completed one year teaching methodology training from Central Training Institute, Guindy.
He is a life member in Institution of Engineers (India). His areas of interest are Nanomaterials, Automotive Engines, Engineering Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Production Technology and Mechanics of Machine.He has more than twenty eight years of teaching and training experience which comprises of Technical Institute, Centre of Excellence in Automobile Sector (Department of Employment and Training, Government of Tamil Nadu) and various Anna & M G University affiliated Engineering Colleges.
During his illustrious career, he has published several articles in National and International Journals and Presented papers in National and International Conferences including the International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICONN 2010) in Sydney, Australia. He has organized many National and International conferences. He has collaborative research works and publications with Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden and National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan.
He penned many Automobile related books which were published by Central Instructional Media Institute (CIMI) of Government of India. One of his technical articles in regional language was published in ‘Journal of Modern Science’ published by Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education. On the basis of community service in Automobile area, he wrote series of articles in the title of “You too can become an Automobile Expert” in the premier government recognized weekly news paper ‘Chennai Citizen’.
He is the recipient of Best Educationist Award for outstanding achievements in the field of education. He has received the award from the hands of Bhishma Narain Singh, Governor of Tamil Nadu and Chief Election Commissioner G. V. G. Krishnamurthy.
He is the editorial board member of many of the national and International Journals. He is the Editor in Chief of ABI International Journal of Modern Science and Engineering.
